Profile
I am a medical artist/illustrator based in Bath, UK. I graduated with a first class honours degree in Forensic Science at University of Central Lancashire and a first class honours masters in Forensic Anthropology at the University of Bradford. Following this I took a post graduate course with the Medical Artist’s Education Trust of Great Britain, to become a Registered Medical Illustrator Practitioner and a Professional Member of the Medical Artist’s Association of Great Britain.
Taught by physicians, surgeons and medical artists at the Royal Collage of Surgeons in London, I produce a very high standard of art with great technical ability, accuracy and anatomical correctness. My artwork is clinically accurate, visually appealing, and conveys all relevant information to the audience, as visual imagery is essential to scientific communication.
Part of working as a medical illustrator means that I converse and collaborate with surgical staff and medical practitioners regularly and am able to quickly grasp the essences of scientific data, understand the needs and outcomes, and transform highly technical content into a clear concise visual story. My illustrations capture more than a camera can ever do, by editing out the unnecessary and focusing on the essential.
